Empowering Children and Youth

In 2023, during a routine community workshop in Satara, our volunteers learned about a 15-year-old girl whose marriage was being arranged by her family due to financial stress. Our Child Protection team, along with the local Gram Sevak and police, quickly intervened. Through counseling sessions, we explained the legal risks and the harmful impact of early marriage on the girl’s education and health. The family eventually agreed to postpone the marriage. We enrolled the girl in a skill training program and secured a scholarship for her school fees. This single action not only protected her future but also became a community lesson. Today, the same family advocates against child marriage in their village. One workshop saved a childhood. Together, we can prevent many more.
