In Pune’s slum area, we met Aarti, a 16-year-old girl who dropped out of school during Covid because she had no access to online classes. Our volunteers enrolled Aarti in a basic computer literacy program under the Younghood digital initiative. Within six months, she learned typing, MS Office, and basic accounting. Today, Aarti is interning with a local shop, earning a small stipend, and dreams of becoming a data entry operator. One laptop changed her future. Imagine the impact of many.

Impact Story : From Loss to Learning – The Patil Family’s Journey When Covid-19 struck in 2021, Mr. Patil, the sole earning member of his family, passed away. His wife, an illiterate homemaker, was suddenly left with two young children and no means of survival. The family was at risk of losing their home to a bank loan, and the children faced dropping out of school. Younghood Foundation stepped in. Our team guided Mrs. Patil in applying for the ₹50,000 government Covid relief scheme for families who lost a parent. With this immediate support, she could stabilize her family.

But relief was only the beginning. We ensured the children’s school re-enrolment, connected the family to a local self-help group, and provided basic ration support for three months.
